FAQ: Non-invasive treatment of enamel lesions with the ICON system
FAQ: Non-invasive treatment of enamel lesions with the ICON system
Is one procedure enough?
Usually, one procedure is enough, which is performed in one visit. If there are more or larger lesions, the doctor may recommend an additional procedure.
Is the procedure painful?
ICON treatment is painless, because the procedure does not require drilling the tooth or removing tissue. Local anesthesia is usually not required.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure usually takes about 30-60 minutes, depending on the amount of lesions and their location.
Are the results long-lasting?
Yes. ICON technology strengthens damaged enamel and stops the progression of early caries. With proper dental care and oral hygiene recommendations, the results can be long-lasting.
What are the advantages of ICON treatment?
No drilling or filling required
Natural tooth tissue is preserved
The procedure is painless
Improves dental aesthetics by reducing the visibility of white spots
Quick treatment in one visit
Who is this procedure suitable for?
ICON treatment is suitable for patients with early enamel damage or white spots on the surface of the teeth. It is especially recommended for patients after orthodontic treatment with braces, when white spots remain on the teeth.
How much does ICON enamel damage treatment cost?
The price of the procedure is usually calculated per tooth treated. The price may vary depending on the number of teeth treated and the purpose of the procedure - whether the treatment is performed for early enamel damage or for aesthetic reasons.
Why are there different prices per tooth?
The price may vary because:
When treating several teeth in one visit, a lower price per tooth is applied;
The procedure may be performed for treatment (early caries or enamel damage) or for aesthetic reasons, for example, to reduce the visibility of white spots.
The final price also depends on the size and complexity of the lesion.
Is a lower price applied for treating several teeth?
Yes. If the procedure is performed on 2 or more teeth, a lower price per tooth is usually applied.
Can the procedure be performed solely for aesthetic reasons?
Yes. The ICON system is often used to reduce white areas or stains on enamel, for example after orthodontic treatment with braces. In such cases, the procedure is performed to improve the aesthetics of the smile.
